Joe,
Get yourself a rubber grommet or similar and use that to seal the air chuck when you blow into the master. Even a few rounds of duct tape may do the job. Don't give up that easily.Ed

One other thing you can try is get a sharp pick tool and use it to hook into that rubber cup. That will force the issue with having to buy a rebuild kit but no biggie there since you will most likely need one anyway. Repeating my self here but check the bore for pitting before spending money on a rebuild kit, you may need a new master if the metal is corroded.Ed

I know that you've done all this work cleaning and pulling apart but it does take some time to get the air out once you've cleaned these master cylinders so that may have been your problem all along. AIR in the system.Comment

If the piston is jammed in the bore so tight that it won't come out, the problem is not AIR in the system.I know that you've done all this work cleaning and pulling apart but it does take some time to get the air out once you've cleaned these master cylinders so that may have been your problem all along. Read the post, he can't get the piston out of the bore..it is stuck fast. He's tried soaking it, air..etc.Where does he say that the piston is jammed? Or am I having a mental flip here....Comment
