    My preference is to use a plastic pot/pan scrubber like you would use in the kitchen and to use comet cleanser and water. That takes the release agent off. Then rinse off the cleanser with water. I use a garden hose. :-) No, it makes no difference to the color of the tire.

    yeah this is my first time getting a tires. i had 2 bikes so far. This is the only one that ever ran, and I probably put 1000 miles on it. So I am very much a newb. Spend many months working on it though.
