    seat step?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I have a new seat cover for my 81 GS1100e I'm thinking I'd like a little step to keep me in place under acceleration. I've re-covered a few seats and would like to trim the foam a little but I also want it wrinkle free, can a small step be done without sewing?

Impossible to say without knowing about the cover, and step shape. And even at that, the proof is in the doing.

Mine had that done by the original owner. The standard GS1000 came with a flat seat like the "S" did in '79. After the foam was cut the cover was just wrapped under and fastened with the tabs under the seat and doesn't show any wrinkles. What they're using for vinyl on the aftermarket seat may or may not behave the same. Personally I wished it was left stock.

It does have a small step, I still felt like I might go off the back when accelerating excessively. It was suggested that I need a fuzzy seat and velcro pants.
