      Thanks!

That's cool... I gotta get workin on redoing my site this weekend.. been puttin it off for so long now it's down to not much time left.

I like the way you put (the plan) because that never really seems to happen LOL

I was there for all the shootout events last year if not test and tuning my own ride I was Pit Bitch/Umbrella Girl for Nem :-D you'd probably remember him more than I since he actually raced the event.

Look forward to seeing you out there! And if you were to happen to catch some footage of me I'd be more than happy to see about payin ya for a copy

It's a small world. Glad you popped in and hope you and your friends get a chance to join us again this summer again. I'm sorry but I never took any video of your runs. These were the only pictures I could find.

We are trying to get the bikes ready to battle it out with the cars. It's going to be a fun year.

Help me...as I'm not so good with names.....
What's Nem's full name and what did his bike look like? Or post a picture if you have one. If he raced shootout, I probably have some video of him...I taped every race last year.

EDIT: Duh....Blue and White Busa top pic....I'll try to check for some video after this whole Easter thing is over

I'm running a bolt and nut on each of the arms and 41lb springs with this 750 ratio. Gearing is 16/44. My overall gearing is just a shade higher compared to last years 1100 ratio and 14/46 gearing.............I'm starting to think a bigger tire is needed ???

Going to pull the clutch apart and see if it's has burn't any plates, if it looks good me thinks it's a tire issue ??
Jake, my guess is that little tire is not going to hold that sort of power. Logger would be nice. When I bought that pile of parts over the winter they were running the 750 gears. I have all the clutch settings. If you want, I can measure everything to give you an idea. It was a PS chassis, 26X10 tire. May cause you to chase your tail more than anything.

HEY YOU!!!! OMG!!! This is crazy... hell yeah I'm coming out that way again this summer.. not as often as I'd like with being in the local series here in IL (moved from MI end of July07) ... but you betcha I'll be back to US131.. look forward to that grudge match we never got to redo I will most likely be at US131 either for test and tune the day before an event or after depending on when they fall on.. but I'll be there!

You are the same Flag Bike Guy right? The one who helped me get the last signatures I needed for my IHRA license .... I wont' say the last name in the event you dont' want folks to know personal information..

BTW I was the only one in that crew that ran at Ubly .. the rest of them were from Detroit or Chicago area... now I see why you said Ubly people to a picture that was taken at US131... \\/ no worries about no video.. I rarely get the chance to have any taken of myself.. I'm usually the one doin the recording of other racers ... I'll post up a couple I did get a freind to take from out here in IL...

              ****

There are several test and tune days scattered here and there, but the above are official race events that I have planned for.

I hope to make Union Grove's Tuesday Night Events.. They host a Womens's Only Bracket Series every Tues.. I did pretty good there last year considering I mostly was still trying to tune the lockup and you could never fully guarantee what I was gonna run LOL... best part is even though it's a test and tune night for everyone - women get in and race for free... can't beat that!

              ****

Below are a few I'd like to fit in somehow if it were possible:

Here are a couple video clips from Byron IL... the next US131 event we went to for Battle of the Bikes We were hoping to see 8.5's with turnin the NOS up some.. we were still on the conservative side with it ... but my 3rd pass ended early with my cases crackin (caused from a bad repair job from a freind of a freind that didn't put things back together right ) .. and that was the end of my season with the Stock Motor on dry NOS. After that the plans began for the RCC Ultra Turbo build for 2008 :-D

Yup you got it... that's him... no rush hun.. when ever you get the time. He'd be tickled to have some footage from other than just my camera where I get the launch and just a lil beyond .. much more and he's a spec since I can't zoom for video on my digital camera.

here's one of his best runs done at US131:

Yep, that's me. Glad we could help with the license. Thats a long way to move. Hope things are going well for all of you. We did pretty good at the last bike fest. Good to see that you have this years marked on your schedule. If we rent the track again this year, I will, let you know. We capped it last year at 50 and it worked well. It will be on a Friday before the bike/snow fest.

Just got around to pulling the motors in the last few weeks. Looks like the kids last run took out the #3 throw. The cases cracked but the crank did not split. One more run would have been bad. We were going to put him on a T/G bike, but that motor was even worse. The black Kaw with the flames is the only thing that lived that we ran.

I doubt we are going to travel again this year. Running the points at Martin is more than enough to keep us busy and with the price of gas....

You should wax me pretty good with this years setup. We plan to still run test and tune on Fridays. Still looking for that 7 second pass with the old girl.

This was my last attempt, but the seat pressure was not enough to make it all the way down the track. pop pop pop pop .......

I torn apart the clutch and no heat, no burn't, no hot area's, it even smelled good

So I put my strongest springs in and will see.

I have'nt changed my nos progressive timing from last year, 1 sec at 50% at launch, gear changes are no delay at 100%. With the 1100 ratio it worked great, maybe I need to set it at 50% on all gear changes with the 750 ratio.

At the end of the night I took the bars off and spun the tire past the tree then hit the nos and was spinning something throught the traps ??? a friend came up and said "what was that all about" I was thinking to myself............ I really don't know

Nothing like a 7 sec run putting up 115 mph on the board.

                      Gotta love test & tune

Thanks... took me a bit to start getting her dialed in with the new lock up and suspension... glad to have gotten as far as I did before the cases gave.. nobody ever thought I'd do that well let alone with a stock motor still... I was comin for you ... \\/

Yup I'll be there for both and the test and tune before hand...

Most def let me know about the private track rental... Myself and the usual crew would love to come if they are welcomed too.. 4 or 5 at most. If anything at least me and my man Nem would like to both run..

I'll post a pic of my cases and tranny damage that happend my last pass... still turns my stomach :? it was an expensive Freebie job.

I don't blaim ya for not travelin, if I lived that close to Martin's track I'd never run anywhere else but Milan ... I absolutely love US131... except no showers LOL not to mention ya'll have an event like every weekend...

uhm... I won't make my usual comment that I normally would hav havin first read the "wax me" comment :-\"

but yeah she should be runnin some good numbers this year... the bike will be capable of a 7sec pass we just gotta find out if I AM ... I think so.. just alot of change is all for me from last year..

the whole chasis is getting changed around for Prostreet.. so my biggest hurdle will be havin to leave my feet down and put them on the launch pegs in teh back... if ya noticed in the vids I'm much faster and more comfortable pullin them up at the line to the front pegs rather than back... with how low the seat and tank is gonna be I'm gonna be forced to lay down on the bike now and have my feet behind me...

cool vids... man it's makin me anxious for the season to start even more now [-o<

                        E.
now get rid of the sissy bar and let's have a REAL RACE

Seems like it has to be the tire then. If the clutch is not slipping, there is little heat. I checked their setup. They had two sets of springs from APE. There was a gold colored set that measure about 65 lbs at 1". The other is a set of reds that measure about 75 lbs at 1". When I took it apart it had six of the red springs for the static. They has shims on top of that so I would not be surpized if it was 480 lbs or more!

They had a massive amount of weight on the arms. Close to 15 grams per arm. All arms were loaded the same.

It was a multi-stage and they had loaded the 7 and 5s in there.

It seems like way too much to me. It could be that they used this setup for their dyno testing only.

Hate to say it but I didn't really get a chance to watch you improve. I know when you ran me you were off your game (and so was I) because I thought we were both in the 9's. LOL.
The vids look good though. Nice and streight. You need a full time camera guy rather than setting the camera on the ground and pray. The dash vids looked good too. Shift points look dead on.

Normally its first come first serve, so getting 5 in should not be a problem. I'll let you know. Besides, you need your fan club to keep you in check. I am with you on the lack of showers. When we ran at Norwalk, it was the best!! The track was always top notch (especially at the ProStar events). The icecream and showers were a good mix too.

I just figured you were doing your own work on the bikes. Know what you mean about stepping into something that quick. Not a problem to work your way up to it.

                            >> uhm... I won't make my usual comment ...
Isn't it a bit unusual for you to bite your tongue?

                            >>the whole chasis is getting changed around for Prostreet..
The real question is will that bike get some paint this year?? I had to laugh the first time I saw you. Jim was pointing out how well your leathers matched my bike. Both you and him match my bike better (Jim is the one sled guy). I need some new leathers.

                            >>cool vids... man it's makin me anxious for the season to start even more now [-o<
Thanks. Just wanted you to know you hadn't caught up to me just yet...

Come on, she's almost 30 years old now and your already having a hard time keeping up with an old fat man who just the pit bich. What you going to do if I built some new fancy thing?

                            Comment

Thanks Mark, I also looked up a few of Ryan's old post's when he was running the 750 stuff so I think I'm good to go knowledge wise now.

I put in these gold springs (close to 60 I think) and they are about 1/4" longer than my normal 1.5" springs I've been using from Schnitz's. With a bolt/nut on each arm I got a feeling it's over kill.

But at least I can rule out the clutch then move on to the NOS controller next.

yeah I was way off ... when we ran I was on motor only and had a bent shift fork that was popin me in and out of 2-3 gear I thought all that time I was misshifting by pressing the button too quick... till one time it locked up and shift no more... best I could get on motor only was 9.2 .. .all my improvements happend after that last race at Ubly in June where I did my first 8.8 sec pass then at Osceola did 8.8's then they talked me into the single stage lock up and from there it was Union Grove and Byron for the rest of my improved times. Only got one trackday on her after that and that's when I hit the 8.6's..

The vids look good though. Nice and streight. You need a full time camera guy rather than setting the camera on the ground and pray. The dash vids looked good too. Shift points look dead on.
thanks.. yeah it's just hard to get someone to be the camera guy at the track cuz all my buddies are racers too.. BUT this summer my kids will be with me trackside so hopefully I'll at least get part of my runs on tape...

I love my dash camera.. i need to hook it up back to the battery supply rather than hard wired in... once I did that there was too much interferance and ruined the recordings.. or find some type of MOV or resistor of some sort to put in the line to stop it...

SWEET! Reckon I should ask the cost huh? LOL hahaha... keep me in check? they egg me on worse than my own desire to step it up \\/

I just figured you were doing your own work on the bikes. Know what you mean about stepping into something that quick. Not a problem to work your way up to it.
I was doing my own stuff up to that point, but I aint' got the knowledge to pull a motor out and replace shift forks and bent shafts... but now that I have Nem close by to help me and now Richard at RCC Turbo I know my stuff will be done right.

My initial goal was to go as fast as I could on stock motor before spraying.. then to go as fast as I could on spray before steppin it up to more spray or bigger motor (or turbo) ..

                                I ran my 9's and I ran 8's now I'm ready for those 7's [-o<

                                >> uhm... I won't make my usual comment ...
Isn't it a bit unusual for you to bite your tongue?
yeah it is but this is a new place and I'm not sure what is acceptable and I figured I better be on good behavior - I'll save it for the pits ... ;0)

                                >>the whole chasis is getting changed around for Prostreet..
The real question is will that bike get some paint this year?? I had to laugh the first time I saw you. Jim was pointing out how well your leathers matched my bike. Both you and him match my bike better (Jim is the one sled guy). I need some new leathers.
can't afford to get it painted this year after paying for the rebuild nothing left for bling bling.. unless you know someone that want's to sponsor me with a new paint job )~

yeah my leathers I designed to match my 929 I had custom painted .. that was before the dragracing scene... I think I even said something to ya, the first night, that I should be the one riding your bike cuz I matched it better than you -heehheeh

                                >>cool vids... man it's makin me anxious for the season to start even more now [-o<
Thanks. Just wanted you to know you hadn't caught up to me just yet...
at 8.6's with a small progressive dry shot I'm sure I could have pulled some 8.5's on ya after turnin the spray up.. and I only saw one sub .5 run in your vids ...... and that was with no competition next to me to drive me harder... I'd done it.. might of took me a few passes to get in the groove but I would have.. trust me I always reach my goals (knock on wood)
                                :O)

                                >>now get rid of the sissy bar and let's have a REAL RACE
Come on, she's almost 30 years old now and your already having a hard time keeping up with an old fat man who just the pit bich. What you going to do if I built some new fancy thing?
Now now no need to be so hard on yourself... you got all the cheater goodies to help you go fast.. all I had was an airshifter and single stage lock up, a controlled small dry shot of NOS, and swingarm extended to 66" wheel base... not to mention you got WAY MORE YEARS of experience than I... you got all the advantages...

Build your new fancy thing and I'll run it too... as long as we both cross the line rubber side down I'm happy ... oh who am I kidden I hate loosin LMAO...
