Whats the 2WS event?
If E and friends come on the 17th, you should come along with them. Camp out with us. We have a pretty good time. Doubt any naked ladies on golf carts but stories around the camp fires are always a good time..
When we get going rounds we are lucky to have time to fuel, add air and push the bikes back up. We take two of the blue blowers just to try and cool things down. When we broke the one bike two years ago, that's pretty much what happened. We broke the tranny, we knew it but we were still in. We would run 15 second passes with an 8 dial and the people we ran just kept breaking out so we kept on going until we were dead. That bike has never ran since. LOL.Comment

So, to be clear, is the $1000 for the entire ET class (street, drag no-box, box and snowmobile), or is that $1000 per each?
Funny how the box bikes are not even in the top two spots..... And people btch about it....Comment

Hit the track tonight due to no T&T Friday cause of a 3 day race event. Thursday is Street night and that's when all the kids come out and haul butt around the pits acting like idiots. Makes you want to smack some sence into them if they only had a brain.
Running no bars again cause I put my longer swingarm back on and trying hand clutching again. Clutch started to slip cause the lockup is out too so in went my biggest springs.
Even hit the NOS once I got out of 2nd gear and the frontend stayed down. Wasn't to sure what would happen and was hoping I didn't see the moon on that run.
60ft's was in the 1.70's. May put some shocks on her and see if I can get down in the 1.50 range this year.
Bike was running nice and runs where in the 6.60 to 6.80 range around 110 mph. Once I get use to launching again I should get below 6.50.1166cc 1/8 ET 6.09@111.88
1166cc on NOS, 1/8 ET 5.70@122.85
1395cc 1/8 ET 6.0051@114.39
1395cc on NOS, 1/8 ET 5.71@113.98 "With a broken wrist pin too"
01 Sporty 1/8 ET 7.70@92.28, 1/4 ET 12.03@111.82Comment

The $1000 is for the overall winner of street, box and no box, (and snowmobile, although I've only seen one there once)
This is the first year they've had a box class...and only street and no-box are eligible to go to the bracket finals....Funny how the box bikes are not even in the top two spots..... And people btch about it....
Plus points are based on going rounds...more bikes, more rounds. It's hard to rack up points if you only have a 3-4 round class...
Street class is big, and the 9.50 class also gets a great trun out...dragbike 12-20 bikes...shootout and Pro400 about the same.
The Harley classes get almost nothin'...
100-150 bikes per event was the norm last year...not sure how this year has been going.
I ran Pro400 last year and it was a hoot....

You were getting so close to the flag bike. 5.3262 132.75. I guess I can breath again.. LOL
We have not ran in over a month now. The 3-day event was the sumit thing, so still no racing this weekend. We are maybe going next wed to shake things down for the weekend.
$1000 is pretty good and with nothing going on, I'll see if we can take a short road trip.
The first sensor gets mounted.

Things are starting to get a little busy. Here you can see the controls, relays, circuit breakers and the old junky logger for the old bike. After blowing up my one ignition, I made up a very high powered protection device with some transorbs. They are potted into that small heatsink located just above the breakers. I think this was the original Koenig chain guard and it was in very good shape so it stays. The Beasley tub fit pretty nice and required very little cutting this time to fit it. Held in place with 4 zeus tabs.

About the center of the page there are the nitrous fittings.

I have started some of the wiring already. I need to figure out what is going to ignite the fuel. I talked with a few suppliers and sounds like the MSD has a lower failure rate than the Schnitz. Crap....Comment

Got the last line made today so I opened the valve. Leaks everywhere. LOL. Managed to find most of them but still have one very small one that I havn't found. Left it under pressure for the night to see how bad it really is.
Also test fired the NX solenoids under pressure with no outlet lines. Sounded like a small gun going off. First sign of life from the old girl I bet in several years.
The turbo line made it in today but I still need more hoses to mount the thing. I need to figure out a good way to support it too. I did not want to weld a braket to the backbone and may try some sort of nylon strap.
Next I need to machine up some sort of Y block to get the small lines from that Guzzler into the standard automotive size.Comment

I'm plannin on being out to US131 on the 17th for the Battle of the Bikes... would like to be there Sat to test and tune before hand.. so may be there then as well.E, I can only hope that the junk bike is ready when we meet on the battle field. Vids look clean. Nice and soft on the launch. I have a bunch of vids from Prostar of the shoot out bikes. Now that is some scary stuff to watch. I think they are my favorite next to T/F to watch. Then comes the funny bikes.....
Too bad about the shift problems. I assume you are not running an auto shift (not auto trans, don't see any shoes.) with the bumps in the track. I have had/seen so many problems with shifting I am amazed when they work at all...
A few thing I have seen that have caused shift problems but were not the dogs....
Sprocket sensor loose and slid under the shift arm.
Shift arm pin key moved to hit frame and bound.
Slop in arm/cylinder enough that there was not enough travel.
Had to add a small accumulator before the air solenoid.
Seals shot in Bimba.
Air line poped out.
Shift drum adjustment screw not set right.
...
Yeah launches were soft.. too soft... my 60's times were horrid... BUT my one pass I did get to make at Grand Bend Canada this past Sat had my 60's back where they use to be... 1.42 much better launch and suspension adjustment Nem made felt much better.. videos' almost make it look like i was bottoming out at the Grove suckin all my momentum ..
My hand still is holding me back a lil but I think more track time and it will come around... My ET was a 8.3 with the same low Boost settings as what was in those last two videos.. BUT again when I pressed the airshifter button TWO times it would not activate to put me into 2nd gear.. so that run should have been much better than the 8.3.
I do not have auto shift.. dont' trust those things.. as much as we spin on various tracks my bike would be shifting and shifting and shifting LOL
The rest of the shifting however worked just fine for me... We got rained out Sat and Sun so I didnt' get to make anymore passes to see if the problem was goign to persist... but it did this to me that Wed night as well..
I'll print off that list and see if Nem can check those things out. I did check over the basic stuff but it actually sounded like the button wasn't workin not that the bike couldn't get into 2nd gear... and my bottle had 800 psi in it so I konw I wasn't low on pressure..
Hey Mark check your pms.. got a question for ya about this comin weekend
