Exhaust made it back today. Airborn did a great job with them. Even the eBay header that had major surgery turned out good. They stripped all the old coating before putting the new on.

Closeup of header and crossover with the vertical mounted gate valve. I cracked the bung on the flag bike and added a strap to help support it. When making this pipe, just went ahead and bent a half section of pipe and wrapped it around the bung to add the support.

Better shot of whole exhaust. Double wrapped the banana pipe. Should keep the skin on my knee and the paint on the body.

Slowly moving along with the wiring. This is the old Dynatek logger I bought last winter. It tucks into that little box once I finish wiring the sensors and test it. Once it's mounted it won't look near as bad.

It just never ends with this old POS bike. I need to get a chalk line down and see how it tracks but it's going to have to wait until spring.

I saw one of those loggers at the track last month. Don't forget your lap top!
          Takes out the guesswork.

It's an oldie for sure. You don't need a laptop to use it if you can manage to find an old Epson LX or LQ printer, you can print the date direct. If you bring a Laptop, it better have a built in serial port and Windows 95, because the software was DOS based. LOL.

If you see them using it again, tell them you know a guy who wrote some Windows software for it and gives it away for free.

There was this movie when I was a kid about a race car. The owner abandons it and the kids play on it for fun. Then the dad buys the car and restores it with a few tricks. That car was a rusty old broken down POS that had been beat to death. ****ty ****ty Bang Bang or something like that. I need to watch that movie to find some inspiration...

Hey there lecroy, do you have a link/address/phone number to this place?
I'm looking for a place to redo the headers on the drag bike.

I would doubt it matters, but I have been using the place in Mt Holly.

They seem to do some very good work. Regular header is about 180, less shipping.

It takes nine months to pop out a kid and it took me eight months to put this chain on.

The sprocket was make by Sprocket Specialists (who else) and is lighter weight and coated compared to what I normally use. Staying with EK. If it looks big, its about a foot longer than the flag bike.

You're a rock star E! Nice write up! Got the wheelie issue taken care of huh A man can only dream of running sevens (or woman)

I just got an 83 GS1100. Talking to a local racer about a rolling chasis and hope to build a motor a little at a time this year and get on the track by next year.

heheee... not yet.. but before long hope to be well known

between dragbike.com and now whitelinemagazine.com and a couple others in the works... the word should spread

we are not 100% positive on fixin the wheelies but we have a pretty good feeling on it.. we'll find out first weekend in March...
