    hey need carb help!gs1100e

    Cannot find "air mixture screws", "idle mixture screws".... whatever there called. cannot find them online or locally. does anyone have any tips for finding them.

    The carb rebuild kits from K&L Supply come with them. Ray.

            You also need to go get the tap for the holes & clean up those threads before you risk ruining the new screws. I have the tap & have used it MANY times! Ray.

              i do have a few taps, different sizes. i've used them on other striped screws before and they seem to do the job good unless you dont think mine will work and you more recommend yours.

                It is a SPECIFIC size & fine thread pitch but I can't remember exactly what it is. Something in the neighborhood of 6mm x .5 or .75 thread pitch. Or maybe even 5mm, I'm not sure. If you take a GOOD screw to a machine tools store, they will hook you up. Ray.

                  i'll do that to be safe, by the way just out of curiosity does this engine fit other frames of different models and if so what one would you say is the best one for street/drag use. thanks
