Cool... definitely lots of heatsink area there!
It's nice to start seeing some pictures of your bike instead of random engine parts too... means it's getting closer

Sweet build there! Cant wait to see the power it ends up putting down!
OT: Someone with lesser ambitions could possible swap a gs450 cylinder unit and pistons into his GS400 (canadian 8v) - direct bolt in? Worthy bump in power?Comment

How about some engine build photos? Looking forward to seeing more and hearing this thing run (video required)....Ed

I thought that the engine was already back together?
Any pictures of the assembly?
Graphs showing the before and after cylinder head flow numbers?

Sorry its been so long since I've made an update.
Not much new.
Rewired a new fuse panel in. I'll add pics soon.
Jfam, you could use a gs 450 or 500 barrels and pistons if you use the two valve head. But with our 4 valve per cylinder heads the pistons are not compatible because we need 4 valve recesses and they only have two. And ours is flat top, the 2 valve piston's are domed.
But you could easily find a gs 750 big bore kit or 1100 pistons the right size and drop them in. I'm sure someone here has some 4 valve pistons with 18mm pin that is larger than 67mm.
Our bikes supposedly put out 44 hp where as the gs500 with two valve per cylinder puts out only 49. I know it all depends what site you go to and what you look up but those are the numbers I've read more than twice. There are some sites that say 26hp but its not hp. Its Nm.
Its still up in the air, I've never seen a dyno result. Point is: the 4 valve design puts out some good power even with a smaller bore.
As far as the build goes here's whats happening. If I order parts from here its going to cost more for shipping since they are coming mostly from the states.
I got Ray to get me more parts than I originally thought I would get and that takes time to gather up. It was all ready to ship back to me but turns out cometic made the head gasket 75mm instead of 78mm so they had to ship another one out. And that's what I'm waiting for before it gets sent back to me.Comment

Not like them to make a mistake.
Have you called them about it?
Usually only takes a week for a custom gasket to get to me from time of placing the order.
How long did it take to get the wrong one?
How long did they say to make/get to you the right one?
Maybe you will be riding before the snow falls hopefully?
We are waiting to hear this monster roar.

I didn't speak to them and I wasn't planning on having them ship here. Not like them to make a mistake.

Its quite cheaper to get it in the states and send USPS then to ship it here. I wanted to buy more parts and put them all in the same package when Ray sends it back to me. The gasket size was just a last minute thing that was overlooked. Its a good thing Ray caught it though.
Its awesome weather out here. Hopefully it stays! There are some that ride year round.
Its the first summer I've seen with the temps in mid 80's for weeks on end.Comment

I ship plenty of parts to Canada myself.I didn't speak to them and I wasn't planning on having them ship here.

I didn't know that it costs EVEN MORE for you to order parts here and have them sent there.
The custom gaskets are one of the first things that I order when I start a crazy project myself.
I didn't realize that RapidRay was building this for you. It should run great when you get it.

Yeah add minimum 25$ to anything I buy just because I'm north of the border
Ray is doing allot of the work that I don't have the knowledge and expertise to do.
Everything to do with the head is his work. I'm stoked to get it running
