Where did you pick up the brake fittings? Those aren't legal in Ontario so beware.

Laws..what laws?? WE don't need any stinkin laws...
I'm in "BC" no such laws out here. It's an infringment of our right to look kool, go fast and reduce emisions by using alternative modes of transport.
So I leave my hemi Dodge in the driveway and take my two wheeler.

Archie,
The motor is 110% gloss Black same as frame. It does retain some heat and does stand up very well. Harley is powder coating their engines from the factory.
This Guy has done hundreds of motors and says its 10x tuffer than paint. You can't even sandblast it off the sand bounces off. This is good for road rash from front tire protection.
The only thing that gets this stuff off is walnut blasting. Very tuff stuff. I paid 250.00 canadian for sandblasting of frame and entire motor and 400.00 for coating. that is 500.00 usd. That inc. motor mounts, triples and kick stand.
I am going to fasten her together with pollised allan's. It should be together this weekend ready to fit into the frame....I am farely excited.
I haven't seen her together for a very long time..

I was going to use a Ward top end oiling kit but the one on the website isn't the one they sell. It is an old one and the new one I don't like.

Hello Katman
The motor looks oh so sweet. the guy did a beutiful job by the view. Only one question. When the guy sandblasted the motor how did he plug all the holes to prevent the sand from geting into all the oil passages. did he steam it or clean it somehow.
Please give me your opinion. I was planning on nickle/chrome plating my frame and powdercoating the motor a candy blue color with chromed engine covers as well plating the wheels and swingarm. What do u think?
Thanks, Archie

Hey Archie,
Thanks... All the holes are plugged when blasted and the motor is assembled to coat it. all threads are taped and holes plugged again. When the job is done I ran pianno wire throught the galleries to make sure they were clear, sulvant bath and air blown.
Your machine sounds like it will be quite a looker. I would pollish the covers though....they will come up like chrome and you won't have the chance of cracking and fracturing the chrome. It doesn't do well with the heating/cooling cycles of the motor. You can get spiderwebbing in the chrome.
