tach repair/replacement
The blade on the engine that the tach cable inserts into on my project bike is broken. I am assuming that I'm going ng to have to go with an electric tach because not this. Any one have any suggestions and know what all is needed ? Any possible easy fix for the mechanical tach ?

Not really sure what you mean by the "blade". Post a picture, it will help us determine which way to direct you in the repair. But if you are talking about the tach drive in the Valve cover it is replaceable.Comment

REmove the little screw, and the little plate that holds it to the head, and get ahold of the outside of the housing around the broken piece, twist and pull , and remove the whole thing. Order a new one and install in the reverse order.Comment
