Suicide shift? yes or no?

Daft has a T. Daffy has a Y. Take your pick. As I read it, it sounded very British. Either way is fine.

haha life insurance? why bother I'm not going to need it when I'm deadGo for it! And when you're not trying to find out why it's called a suicide clutch, spend your free time playing Russian Roulette. Odds of survival are about the same......
Which is exactly when you'd kill yourself. "I'm not really riding fast or anything..." means your guard is down.
Good Luck. Make sure your life insurance is paid, and send my advance condolences to your loved ones..
and just because im riding slow don't mean I'm not aware i still watch my back for the cage jockeys trying to kill me.
but thanks for the feed back i can see that its not for most people but some enjoy it.Comment

I guess you've learned by now that there are more than a few negative Nancys on this site.

This...
I have tried a bike with a suicide shifter... although the clutch was on the shifter handle. It is awkward and uncomfortable. Unless you are missing your left foot I'm not sure why one would prefer it.
For cruising in a parade I could see it being okay, but in traffic? Nope

It appears that Harley (not the innovator by a long shot) first used them on the Panhead, but only knuckleheads would retrofit one now."Thought he, it is a wicked world in all meridians; I'll die a pagan."

Why do it half assed? Do the whole treatment.
Take off the front brake, remove the rear shocks and put struts on instead, lower the bike so it can't corner, put cool looking steel spikes all over the gas tank, use longer forks to enhance steering inability and instability, chop off most of the seat so when you hit a bump your nads land on the tire, switch to little bitty stylish mirrors, lose the front fender and turn signals. Put on pods and a straight pipe, but don't tune it, that would require knowledge and effort. Now that the rest of the bike is ready, add the suicide shifter and go out and play on the freeway.
Sounds like fun.Comment

Jeez, tkent, I am thinking it has been a while since you strapped on something big to make it go fast. Are you going to be able to make the switch back into the systems monitor / feed the dog position and not have "GSR post on every topic" syndrome?
