    Hi Jim,
The saddle comes from a Triumph Thruxton 1200 2017 model.
I suppose you can get these in the US also?

Building bikes can only be as good as the subcontractors one can find.
I believe you guys in the US have some of the best?

That engine/shock mount would make things simple, but the cost $441.63 +VAT and shipping to the US, is more than I pay for most of my bikes. Guess I'll be doing my own fabrication. Cool to have something to look at for inspiration.
I thought the same before buying the kit but while subcontracting the metal fabrication would probably cost half that price, any mistake would kill the benefit...

The rear mudgard is now in place.
          I believe it looks right?
The big advantage is that it will hold the turn signals!

Very good news today: the engine started with almost no difficulty!
I say almost as after a few negative tries, I decided to exchange the spark plug leads between the 1/4 and 2/3 cylinders.
Not obvious to identify in the documentation I have...
Quite a stressfull moment as the engine was second hand, so as the CDI and the carbs but all from different sources.
That combined with GS 1000 coils.
A major morale booster for sure

Got the Koso rev counter hooked up yesterday.
Quite easy, I took the signal direcly from the trigger input of the CDI.

Which model Koso are you using? Is it similar to this one?

Steve, it looks very similar but mine is labelled BA58100?

I got the gear lever in place today.
Not obvious as it had to be 310 mm long.
In the end I used three rods to get the job done as an odd number is required to get the right male thread ( left and right) on each side.

I changed my rear wheel today, going from the 6 spoke 18" GSXR wheel to the 3 spoke 4.5*18 used on the 1988 model.
The main reason beeing that it has the same spoke pattern as the front R6 wheel.
It's also .5" wider allowing the use of a 160 wide tire.

The footpegs are now in place and the brake stay for the rear caliper is also functional.
