    You just keep re-wrapping them, then eventually, you have an exhaust made entirely of exhaust wrap.

      Thanks for the feedback,
      yes, YSS shocks they seem to work work well enough. fork covers look good but are hiding damaged fork tubes...
      the pipes were in absolutely awful condition.
      wrapping them was the only option until I can replace them.
      still fiddling with the carburetors and getting 10mpg.
      something is drastically wrong with that.

        If you haven't rebuilt the carbs, you should. If you have, you should probably take them apart, and see if anything from the fuel tank clogged anything else. Also, you went to pod air filters, which means the carbs have to be jetted for the increased air flow. That in itself can be a major undertaking to get completely right.
