I am almost finished restoring my 82 GS1100E from the frame up but can't identify this part.
Can anyone tell me where this foam block was located? I'm 95% sure it was in there somewhere.??You do not have permission to view this gallery.

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

I've restored a goodly number of GS's, from 450, 550, 750, 850, 1000, and I've never seen a block of foam like shown. I don't think it was installed at the factory.Ed

I should also add the spring goes in THEN the resistor and then the holder. Take resistors out and cut a 1/8 piece of copper or steel rod and do away with the resistors.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
