Got a little surprise when I took the headlight out of the housing!

I guess it could have been worse. At least they had moved on!Ron

Anyone know if these are the headlight mounts for a 1150? This thing has a bigger than stock headlight, but I have no idea what bike it is from.

It will probably be on Fleabay once I figure out what I have!Ron

There is a chance I have some turn signals (or at least the plastic lenses) and a center stand for you… I may also have some headlight brackets.
I think the 1100 was the one that used the 9” light.

My 1100E brackets are similar in design to the 1000. I can't remember if my 1150E had brackets just like those or not. I think the signal light mounting was like that though. I just bought an 8 inch headlight for my other 1000 I'm going to try. Ha. ha. I'll have the complete 1000 headlight but they're easy to find anyway, I'm going to modify the 1000 brackets to fit the 8 inch headlight on mine.1986 1150EF

I'm pretty certain they are 1150e (and possibly the late 750e). The 1150s had those big goofy indicators and the base would fit in that little recess in the side... I am a bit confused at why the recess points up. I think they may be flipped or on the wrong side.Last edited by dorkburger; 11-06-2025, 10:54 AM.sigpic
When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Thanks guys! They are probably installed wrong, lots of things on this bike are like that!
Good to know what headlight I have for whenever when it goes on Ebay!

Well now........this just keeps getting better and better! After cleaning up some wiring today I thought, "why not check the timing?" Imagine my surprise when I removed the dyna ignition plate and found this!

So......I'm looking for a timing plate #33371-45001, used on 27 different bikes from a '77 GS550 to a 82 GS1100 I believe. (Too many to list here.)
It's sorta handy item used to set the timing I believe!
Geez, what next?Ron

Would be interesting to see an image of the VIN plate and the wording. For the Australian market all Suzuki bike models from 1977 onwards were fitted with an aluminium VIN plate on the steering head attached with brass blind rivets.Badgezz, we don need noh stinkin' badgezz!
