    Thanks Charlie,

Believe it or not, I got it on ebay. The guy was trying to sell it here locally on CL for awhile asking $1300 with no takers. I got it for a little more than half that! Normally I wouldn't have taken such a risk but it seems to have turned out ok. It also happens that the main contributor on the twins forum lives like two miles from me and has a ton of parts. No project for this one though, just going to enjoy my time riding.

I think thats a fine GS. I prefer the models without the fairing. Good find.

Well, I finally went over to the dark side...... of the GS's anyway. Bought a 92 GS500 and guess I will be spending a bit of time over on the twins board.

Sad news, but good news all at the same time.

I guess you're sort of losing one baby for another... one with less wheels and more legs... I wonder which will be louder though?

Nice guy though. He will join GSR shortly. He is super excited about the bike. It's always nice to pass off a project to someone just as geeked as I am.

    Been looking at GS500's......and SV's.....and TL's.....

Hopefully my next post will introduce everyone to the new baby!
I assume that "baby" is a child and not a MC. Congrats.

So are you going to continue to lurk after it's sold? I hope so, no need to disappear just coz you're GS-less

Hopefully whoever buys it is either a member here or joins up so we can see that they look after it too...

Still here. Lurking on all FC's gremlins! I've had two offers, one pretty lowball and one with a decent chunk of money+ gear I need. What's strange, is that it's been absolutely pouring all week and I've had tons of interest. Today, it's beautiful and sunny, and not a single email or phone call. I guess everyone's out getting their vitamin D while they can.

If you were just a tad closer I'd certainly be giving it some thought...
I would buy it right now if I had the money. Seriously, no joke. Kudos to a well done bike

    Plan? What plan?

The tire went flat all of a sudden, when i goosed the throttle. I think I must have missed a little piece of metal shaving or something when cleaning out the tread. It may be lodged in between the rim and tire...the one place I didn't check. Such is life. Now I can get a new tire to match the front!

Thanks for all the compliments guys.
