Thanks guys. FC- the exhaust is all my own creation. I used all of two old stock setups from the muffler forwards. Pete - I hear you on the light, it's going to move for sure. I'm just not sure where. The battery is tucked up under the tank well away from the exhaust so no worries there.

    Cheers!

Yeah baby yeah! Now that is what I'm talkin' 'bout! Very very nice Scotty, you should be damn proud of that for sure!

I only have two thoughts anywhere in the negative... if your battery's hiding under the duck tail there, you reckon it'll be right with the heat of the exhaust right underneath it without boiling all the water out of it?

Also, that brake light looks like it'll be a little difficult to see for people following you, however I do see it's temporary, so I'm guessing you'll get it under control

All in all, that is very impressive, and now that I've seen it with the single headlight again, that's definitely right. The duals would look cool, but I think they'd be somewhat wrong somehow...

Lookin' forward to those better photos for sure!

What's the plan with paint? Leave it as is or get it all shiny'd up?

Where did you get your exhaust done? Or did you do it yourself? Looks great!

    You should hook me up...

    EDIT: Where's your battery?

    And.......We're off!

Done, done, done, done!!! I have been blessed with two whole days in the garage. A big thanks to the wife who let the chores slide!

Got the exhaust all buttoned up, the electrics working well, and put on a temporary rear light as I couldn't figure out where to put the license and light now that the underside of the seat is all filled with tubing.

The exhaust sounds only a little bit throatier than stock, nothing that will get me pulled over. Tuning has yet to commence though, because I haven't actually ridden it yet. Maybe tomorrow

Not bad for four months worth of work!

I'll get some better pics up sometime this week. I am so amped!!!!

Mate thinking is good, especially if it results in a decision on a direction to take

With the height of your rear end, I would say an underseat will work well for sure.

Actually, the seat is quite comfortable. I put some nice quality foam underneath, and it's deeper than it looks. I thought about adding some more light to the rear end also, even though they are VERY bright.

    Cheers

Well, I did manage to "Think" about the bike today. Going with an under seat exhaust can. Got a Ducati exhaust can that I shortened a bit.

Now lets hope this week brings some shop time!

Bugger! Gotta hate that! Then again, while lying there thinking about things you may just get some fresh inspiration for that one little thing you've missed... whatever that might be

Here's hoping you still get your ride in!

Whoa... 35 degrees with a little bit of rain, eh? I'm gonna have a tough week ahead of me...

So, what are the plans for paint? Colors? Stripes?

I feel for you. Had my back go out last spring while I was trying to reset the timing chain on the 450. Don't you have some 50 degree days during the winter to take for a run?

Chain is here! but to short by two links. I ended up ordering the exact size for the Katana, and missed it somehow. My book says the 600f is a 530x118. With custom stuff, I should have known better. I tried to match it up to the chain that was on there to see if I could cobble something together, and they don't match??? The width and length are the same, but he pins on each master link are a different diameter? WTF??? anyone know if this is just a manufacturer difference or what?
