    Good point, Pete.
They don't look like foam more like steel wool.
But I guess they're a compressed paper type as they are concertina'd.

Not sure if they can be oiled then? Not sure how that all works, whether you need foam for oil or not. I'm guessing paper and oil won't play well together though...

Not raining on your parade here either, just curious as to why I had to pay a lot more just for two K&N's

And your oil filter is made of???

Theres some dry paper ones, but to confuse the issue theres oiled paper too, pretty cert if its fabric, felt, foam, their lightly oiled.

I know K&Ns are oiled ex factory, and they are cleanable.

But thats all i know.... sad really.

No, I wouldn't suggest oiling paper.

          The difference in price?

Hahaha true... I was hoping there'd be more to it than just the brand though...

Synthetic filter material. Quite different to the air filter "paper"

So Mr Leigh... has been quite a while between updates... what gives? Have you lost your affection for the fat girl or has she been slimming down in secret ready for a big unveiling?

Oh Charlie you are a one!!!!,if you had ever seen the tourist board people here-well lets just say that tweed, stuffed up and bum is the usual type,it's more lephracauns, shramrock scratchy jumpers NOT scruffy gits who look like muggers and smell of petrol and cigarettes, even though we scruffs can usually find the pubs where closing time is lets say "flexable"(although I make no promises),hijack over, yeah mate where are the photos.Johnny

Thanks Pete( I think),the only funny thing they did was to sell a batch of t-shirts on the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the R.M.S Titanic saying "it was fine when it left here"
