For a guy that is broke, you certainly spend a bunch of money.

What do you mean? I spent $80 for the wiring harness and electrical parts from katman.

And the parts I got from sschering were traded. My stuff for his stuff. Zero moola.

Remember that I also have a job now, so I'm not exactly broke.

Or do you mean something else?

Maybe this is why he is broke?

Sheesh. I TRADED my parts for the champagne bodywork. Not one penny has been spent for them.

Besides, there is a nice big dent on top of the tank, lots of rust inside, and the paint isn't so great as it looks in the pictures.

The tail piece is missing the two tabs on the back and the paint isn't so great either.

I had to sell a **** load of my stuff (iPod is gone ) just to get that harness too.

It feels like I'm being accused of something lol.

And it's really none of your business what I spend my money on.

I don't really want to sell it. It would be a nice fun side project for me. Besides, I'm not gonna ship this thing anywhere!

If I were to sell it, you would have to come pick it up.

I spent lots of money on my old car too but then I sold it not too long ago.

I haven't even taken a look at the airbox yet. Carbon fiber lid? It's awesome based on a quick peek.

Nearly done with the wiring harness. I should be ready to attempt a start this Sunday with the new harness and igniter. All of my lights should be working as well.

One thing though... I need longer bolts for the igniter. The 80-81 1100E igniter is much thinner than the 82-83 igniter. Minor setback but Lowe's should have what I need. Other than that, I'm good.

Oh wait..... I need sparkplug boots

                          Btw

That champagne bodywork with the polished aluminum engine is NICEEE!!!! Bummer that it sounds like you got bodywork that was in rougher shape than the stuff you had

Sorry. I have more bad news.

I have these extra wires hanging around.

I turned the key and every light works except for the headlight. WTF???

It must have something to do with those extra wires. And of course it doesn't run because those 2 orange wires with bullets are for the start button.

EDIT: My speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, and oil temp gauge lights do not work either.

It has got to be something really easy.
These bikes are not that hard to figure out.
You DO have a test light and a volt meter right?

No. It's not that a wire is broken or anything like that. It's these extra wires that have no where to plug into!
