Plastic pipe with glued end caps make great shipping containers for crankshafts.

I glue/screw handles on for automotive cranks.
Anything that keeps them from dropping them helps.

Chuck, The packeage looked like overkill before you added those two extra wraps. I'm positive it's going to survive the trip now.
I've been making a cabinet for the down stairs bathroom, trying to finish it before the weekend just so I'd have a bit of extra time to spend cleaning up those cases and get the one off to be welded.Comment

Probably close to 3/4 to 1 inch of cardboard all the way around and 2 inches thick on the ends..sound good??
