With the jet kit, modified exhaust and 5% advance the bike has become a bit of a monster compared to the bandit, really good throttle response and it sounds amazing! We only had a few quick rides on it and heaps of bits aren't done up tight (like the handlebars) but it felt pretty animal, so really looking forward to putting it through its paces!

Guest repliedMade some amazing progress today. Got the exhaust on, oil cooler on, jet kit installed, carbs on, brakes and clutch bled, chain on... And then we test rode it! Most bits were only done up finger tight but that didn't stop Ed from doing a rolling burnout! Haven't uploaded a video before so not sure if it will work.. But here goes:

Guest repliedDefinitely keep me posted! I am slightly nervous about the drastic changes I am making to my bike and how they MAY adversely affect the handling. Our bikes are similar so since you're going to be done first do you mind being the guinea pig?? Haha I'll keep checking back on your progress.

I hear what you're saying, that would look awesome and I will definitely look into it... Only problem I see is that the white panel on the tank follows the shape of the tank, so the bottom line of the white panel would need to change quite dramatically to match the rear panel.
I'll have a bit of a play around with it and keep you posted.

Guest repliedDidn't get much time for my bike tonight ( too busy with real work) but did sort of mock up the headlight, I think the gauges need to move down a bit, maybe inline with the top fork clamp.

Guest repliedHere's what I had to do to the underside of the tail light for tire clearance, as I mentioned before, it still needs a bit of finishing cause it's pretty ghetto looking, it required quite a bit of butchering:-).. But you've really gotta jam your head up under there to even see it. Funny thing is that with my mono shock back end, I think I could run a totally standard light and not have clearance issues.
