Guest repliedi'm loving that 750, everything apart from the exhaust looks awesome in my eyes, just not a fan of wrapping and the stumpy muffler but awesome job!

Guest repliedHaven't posted any progress on my bike for a while... Got side tracked by my latest build... At least it's a Suzuki!!!!!

Guest repliedThanks, I'm really liking it myself!! LOL!!!!!
It's not gonna be a track bike, so I will need a tail light/turn signals. I'm prob. gonna go with some small LED's molded into the tail.
I still gotta machine up some rearsets, and other bits, but it's coming along.
The 190 rear tire made getting the chain lined up a bit of a chore, but I managed to shift it to the right by machining up new spacers on left side and machining off some of the caliper mount on the right, while getting the wheel centered in the frame.
Being a precision machinist helps
Keep up the good work, yours looks awesome!!

Guest repliedThat's looking awesome! They look primo with a fat rear tire ay! I like what youve done with the exhaust up in the tail section... Mine hits the ground on hard corners in its current position:-( will try and move it up a bit. How are you gonna do your tail light? Or is this a track bike?
Here's a couple of shots from a ride we went on to cape palliser on the weekend:

Hey it doesn't need to be exciting if it works properly. Good job.

Guest repliedHere's what the number plate looks like illuminated... Not very exciting!!! Just another boring bit of progress in the journey to road legalness...

Guest repliedHaven't posted any updates in the last week, been busy and have only been doing the really boring things like fitting indicators, checking and double checking everything is tightened up properly and various other bits and pieces.
Had to modify the muffler cause it was WAY to loud to pass a warrant of fitness test, had to shift the muffler a bit too cause it was hitting the ground on right hand corners!
Did manage to take it out on a proper ride at the weekend, nothing fell off ( including me) and it rode and handled unbelievably well... So stable yet incredibly responsive to quick direction changes. I think it's a bit of a fluke but I've achieved a spot on balance of performance and stability.
Managed to sort out a number plate light after a couple of failed attempts, here's a photo of it (not illuminated) will put up a photo of it lit up tomorrow after it wired in.
And here's a couple of shots of my indicators

Guest repliedWent for a good ride today and found that my jetting is not right, spent a few painfull hours re jetting... It's close now but not perfect so I'll work on it some more during the week. As far as the performance and handling go it has far exceeded my expectations, without even pushing it, it out performs my previous setup by a COUNTRY MILE!!!!

Guest repliedNice tires!!!
Maybe you're over-jetted... thought you'd at least be getting 32-35mpg on that thing!

Guest repliedOriginally posted by Good Times View PostThat's funny. Sorry for the rescue, but the bike is sweet action to say the least.
As far as the header wrap I really like it and think it adds to the aggressive look. It also is a good retro look in the mix. I've seen guys paint it and like that, but my favorite approach is to paint the white wrap with black but not cover the whole pipe neatly. Solid from the top and faded into the wrap as it goes down the pipe. Just making it look used and faded.
And a very sweet ride this bike has turned out to be....
