This morning I realized that I never kept the throttle plates open when I did the test, so 100psi is probably good on a cold engine with the plates closed. The low compression numbers and stuck floats were the reasons for dropping the price. I'll have to remember that the next time I look at a new bike.

Mileage on the bike is just under 22K.

The fairing is a Vetter in decent shape. Unfortunately it didn't come with the orginal headlight bucket.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

Very nice score, maybe we'll see some better pictures of it soon.

Hope everything is on the up-and-up where the title is concerned... in some states, you could be on the hook for back registration fees, etc.

Ya, I'll be going through all the title stuff soon. Last time the bike was registered was several years ago. It's been on the road twice in the last 7 years. Well see how it goes.

Runs Good but need front fork seal, front break tuning.
both are very minor repairs .
The front fork seal is $5.00
I no longer have time to spear and have lost interest.
            Firm $800.00

Apparently "Firm" doesn't always mean firm and I wonder what he intended to "spear" but didn't have time.

Great deal, look forward to following the rebuild.

I asked him about the "firm" part and he said that "it's a CL thing". It seems to him that if he says firm then it keeps the guys who just want to jerk him around from coming around. Made sense to me but he was pretty quick to let me know that firm may not be that firm based on the issues we were having getting the bike started.

Looks like it will be Sunday before I can get to work on the bike since I don't get home till after dark on every day before then. I'll post full pics and start a new thread then. Already ordered the O-rings and picked up a new battery in advance. Going to be interesting once I get into the carbs since there have been so many hands in there.
