1978 GS1000 Project Seat help!

Hi, first time posting, hopefully this is the right section.

I recently posted on Reddit about a project I have been working on (http://www.reddit.com/r/bikebuilders...eed_your_help/) and
I am looking for some help with my seat which I want to build soon. You can see my whole project here on this imgur album (http://imgur.com/a/TqpdC). I have this square bracket (seen here: http://i.imgur.com/nWY6s5S.jpg) from the original seat and I want to figure out how to make a seat pan and custom seat (out of fiberglass) to fit on it, while integrating my lucas style taillight in the rear. I have worked with fiberglass before so I am not new to it. I just want to know if anyone else has had experience in doing something similar to a GS1000. The style of seat I want to try and make looks something like this (http://www.british-customs.com/image...407-007--1.jpg)

Also if anyone knows of companies that make seats that fit on GS1000s I would love to know. I have scoured the internet relentlessly but have had no luck!

None of that seat bracketry appears to be stock.

IIRC Giuliari made a seat similar to what you re looking to build.

Have a look at T8s' thread on his GS750. Recently he is making his own seat that could give you some ideas.
