Thanks for the quick reply and the pointers, Chuck. I appreciate it very much. Very similar to all the Hondas I've done in the past.

Exactly. I would order the new sealing washers for the bottom bolts. I have had guys bring me leajers only to fing someone prior to me had scratched the seal surfaces. Not to worry if this happens. Clean it well with acetone and apply a wipe of RTV to the scratch and insert seals as normal. There isnt super high pressure on them and this will usually seal the offending scratch rather nicely. Any questions call me if you still have my number.

Thanks, man. I actually tried to call you a month or so ago when I was swapping the stator. The number I have didn't work. It was from back when I was painting your bikes..so you know how long ago that was..lol. PM me your phone number so we can stay in touch. Very anxious to see your red S-clone.

TODAY I SMELL VICTORY!!! I hung the old school Harris 4 into 1 and put carbs on. The pipe was originally on the 80 Cooley Russel Reeves sold to Frank Z. Now it slings under the red cooley. I had the Martek leads reveresed so it wouldnt start at first. Switched the leads and choked it and it almost instantly lit off. I got old exhaust gaskets in it but new ones are ordered. Now its wire up the SH775 and buy caliper seal kits. I uploaded the video to my youtube channel so i hope the link works for everyone.

Took a 78 GS1000C and transformed it into an E modelwith dual front discs as the base. Complete engine rebuild right down to crankshaft seals. Total frame of...

Very nice Chuck! You know, you can embed the video right in the post by using the film strip icon in the reply toolbar and pasting the copied video share link where it prompts you to.

I think I don’t know near enough about either. Just enough to get me in trouble with both.

I had the ignition wires to the coils crossed and had cranked it a little before realizing i had to swap them around so it was already "primed" so to say when i hit the button. Thats probably why it hit so quickly. Before i came home it had sat about an hour and it instantly hit when i tried it agan. Still need to throw a timing light at it and sync the carbs but i suspect neither sre very far off bsed on how easily it starts
