A few years ago I sold 4 of those emblems, black and silver also black and gold. Most I got was ?5 each, about $8 US. I did check the fiche for a 78 C model which is what the bike originally was. Oh well. Not much to pizz and moan about...just lick the wounds and move on.

As mentioned, I have the same emblem, only in gold, meaning the 550 size. It won't fit your 1000.Ed

Today is work on the bike day. Goals are change out rear rotor for proper size, change top bridge to one thats tapped for the handle bar cushion, get the fairing brackets on, and i have an older front reservoir that is pumping up so ill see if it gives me decent front rakes.Still debating of i want to add black edging around inside lip of the fairing around the windscreen or just leave it red.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

Used the kit that Kiwi Canuk sold years ago. Digging around in my stash i realised i had 2 sets of OEM reflector brackets as well so there are the proper reflectors on it .And the windscreen is factory with the GS1000 printing on itMY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

Tonight i got carbs synced and colortuned and painted a set of horns. I gotta dig around and see if i can find the horn mounting bracket and a handlebar cushion. Still have to do fork seals and put the front master cylinder i found on in place of that honda one i have on it now. As of today..........Im trying to figure out how to enclose the inside of te fairing to hide the brackets and the wide open gap there as youll see in the last photo
