1) This question goes in the technical forum. In the future, please do not post the same question in multiple forums.
2) You'll need to reveal the year and model of your GS if you want an answer. It's especially important to include all the letters before and after the displacement. For example, my bike is a 1983 GS850G (GS850GD, if you want to be super-complete). Another guy might also say he has a GS850, but if he actually has a 1983 GS850GL, (GS850GLD) many parts including the forks are completely different.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.
