      when all else fails.
      you can adapt some cable pinch type brakes off of your 10 speed..
      maybe you can handle that eh?

        I hadnt even touched them to be honest. I went about assuring that my BACKUP plan was ready to go, just in case

                There's always "Flintstones" style braking, too... little rough on the boot soles, though.

                    I've actually done it, but not on anything steet legal. 450 lb SAE mini baja in the faculty parking lot. We didn't have the brakes or the floor working yet, so when the prof started backing his Mercedes out, I had to do something. On a lighter note, the transmission we had mounted was working...
