    Petcock Questions 1980 GS750

The current setup on my GS works ok, but it is not stock. I am thinking of having some carb work done and it might be a good time to change petcocks. I am very wary of vacuum petcocks. Anyone have any advice about choosing the OEM Suzuki part versus a possible alternative? Thanks David

Vacuum petcocks are great, but the one on 1980 Suzukis is a very bad choice.
The problem is the bolt spacing is different than the other years, and there isn't much room under the gas tank for a Pingel or other brand...
You may be stuck with a stock replacement.
