1982 GS1100E front brake rotors on a 78 gs750e?

    1982 GS1100E front brake rotors on a 78 gs750e?

    so i got a set of front rotors from a 82 gs1100e on my 78 gs750, it works grate except that i have about 2mm of the pad sitting down below the contact area. anyone got any suggestions on how to get the rotor centered?

    Fit the later calipers. That is the only way - and the rectangular pad type calipers give way better braking.

    80 GS550
    80 CB650 cafe racer
    75 PC50 - the one with OHV and pedals...
    75 TS100 - being ridden (suicidally) by my father

          Anything after 1980. The type that uses the FA51 pads are the best I reckon (but there's not a lot in it).
