    Fork tube size

    K another question lol... The forks on my 80-81 GS1100E forks are 37mm are the forks on a 82-83 GS1100 the same?

      Yes, they are all 37mm & about the same length. The tubes won't all interchange though so keep complete legs together. (also some differences on the L versus E models).

      The 1000 & 850 are 37mm too. The 1100EZ? (the one with all the boxes) is the only one that's different at 41mm.

              Okay then, so what I'm reading the 37mm bushings for the 82-83 will be okay for my 80-81.

                  According to the parts list they list 3 different GS1100s for 82-83, GS1100ED, GS1100ESD and the GS1100EZ all chain drive. They all use the same part number for the bushing so I'm gonna go on that and order, so I'm gonna take the chance the bushing is going to be the same for my 80-81 1100E

                      Yeah the L model doesn't have any adjustments save for the air pressure, which I think is pretty useless anyways. The E has all the adjustable goodies. Rebound, damping and air.
