from the rear of my bike. The rotor is about .050" under spec, but looks "tired", not trashed. I never heard, or felt a thing !

I never felt, or heard a thing ! Rotor looks tired, but I've seen a lot worse !
And my Clymer manual does not contain the words "wheel bearings" !!!

I use my rear brake a lot. I don't use it for stopping though.Komorebi-The light filtering through the trees.

On my Sportsters the only reason i ever stepped on the pedal was that it was connected to the only working brake light switch. Other than that you might as well have been dragging your feet.Comment

Harley brakes are tiny, even on modern ones.
Big huge fat hogs have smaller brakes than a 1980 GS.Comment

Stopped on a incline and waving at the pretty girl driving the other way.

Riding the rear brake while riding the clutch will so some amazing things for very low speed maneuvering. Surprisingly learned some things from a Cop on a Road King.Comment
