Mechanic needs help 79 550

Doing a bobber build for a customer, so my chopper is on hold.
Need to know what this part is called, is there an aftermarket equivalent and can I get a kit to rebuild this one.

Can't upload pic. The hydraulic arm the rear fluid resavouir feeds into. Would this be the rear master cylinder?

There is no "hydraulic arm", but your description leads me to believe that you are asking about the rear master cylinder.

Yes, rebuild kits are available, the overwhelming favorite for VERY important parts like BRAKES is to buy genuine Suzuki parts.

What's truly stupid is building a bobber for money, or selling one for that matter. The bikes functionality will be drastically affected for the negative, and if the new owner crashes it, they can blame it on YOU.

It's one thing to mod a bike for your own use, but as soon as you let it get out of your hands, you are responsible thereafter.

Anyone dumb enough to buy a bobber made by someone who doesn't even know how a brake works likely isn't smart enough to sue anyone anyway.

What ever it is , it is OT or should be relegated to a "discussion" area. I certainly see little technical content in The barating.

One of my other hobbies is bicycling, and I've built a number of road frames for my personal use. There is a nice web community of framebuilders, and the more experienced guys expound constantly on the necessity of insurance and business incorporation before allowing one of your frames to reach beyond your personal use. There are stories about customers suing for all kinds of stupid reasons, and best case you lose a bunch of money hiring a lawyer to defend you in court.

Drastic chassis modifications, aka bobbing, puts the riders safety at risk. This isn't even debatable. So again, feel free to ride your own bobber, at your own risk, but making one for money, where you have liability for the product, is just plain dumb.
