No, GS1000s, early GS1100Es, and the GS1100LT all use the same shocks. Probably all the 750s of that era too. All have the same length.Comment

I am a little lost.
What bike do you have? Year? Model?
What is the length of the shock you are looking for?
Have you thought of altering the seat instead?2@ \'78 GS1000Comment

I have a 79 GS1000EN, and a 80 GS1100LT. It's not about seat height, it's about lowering the center of gravity.Comment

You won't find shocks short enough to lower the C.G. enough to make any difference.
What is your goal? These bikes are basically top-heavy, there's not much you can do without some drastic sawzall surgery.
If you are trying to improve cornering ability, by the time you lower the center of gravity with shorter shocks, you will run out of cornering clearance and it won't matter.

Every shock of any of my bikes, or parts bikes, measure right at 12 3/4". Maybe a little past that, no doubt a metric thing.Comment
