Hayabusa fork swap on a GS1000
Looking at putting a set of gen 1 hayabusa forks on a 78 gs1000. Anyone ever done this? If so, what all will I need to look into doing? Bearings? Machining the stem?Tags: None -

Allballs has the conversion bearings you'll need. Their site has a coversion table. Stem is fine as is. Steering stops may need some fab work. And keep in mind they are alot shorter than the stock forks. -
Also mind the difference (if any) in triple clamp offset. That and the length difference will change the trail, perhaps by a lot. If it is a lot, big affects on steering feel and stability.'20 Ducati Multistrada 1260S, '93 Ducati 750SS, '01 SV650S, '07 DL650, '01 DR-Z400S, '80 GS1000S, '85 RZ350Comment
