Which tires to get? Metzeler, Bridgestone, IRC, Continental, Avon, or Pirelli?

Tires – Metzeler, Bridgestone, IRC, Continental, Avon, or Pirelli?
    (for the 1983GS750E/ES)

(I created a spreadsheet that details all this and also on tab 2 has the tire size comparisons - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing)

    Manufacturer/notes
$/set (for a PAIR OEM size or closest size)

Metzeler Lazertec (rear is 130/80 vs OEM 120/90 – they seem like a good value after the rebate)

    $175 ($223 and $50 rebate)

Bridgestone Battlax BT45 (same size as OEM size)

    $191

IRC DuroTour RS310 (same size as OEM size)

    $160

Continental Conti Go (front is 120/80 vs OEM 100/90 – the dry rotted tires on the bike I just got are 120s and it wants to severely dive into slow turns, I’m thinking it may be a result of the wider tire issue)
Perfect grip under all weather conditions for all-year-round use. Excellent mileage due to up-to-date compound technology.

    $196

Avon RoadRider (wider tire issue as the Contis 120/80 vs OEM 100/90)
Avon has been making high quality tyres since 1904, tyres that fit all sorts of cars, motorbikes, vans and trailers. On two wheels as well as four.

    $185

Pirelli Sport Demon (rear is 130/80 vs OEM 120/90)

    $220

1981 GS750L - Owned since 1990 when graduated high school and since have been discovering all the things not disclosed by seller.
1983 GS750E - bought in 2016 as a rough runner to use while rebuilding 81L and then to combine with ES to make one good one
1983 GS750ES - bought in Toronto in 2015 on a lark as a non-runner, missing front cowling and exhaust - If you have a 1983 750ES front cowling let me know! Blue would be nice

I like the Pirelli Sport Demons though they are not a long lasting tire. I also liked the Bridgestone Battle Axes which developed a flat spot on the rear tire but I've only tried them once.......

Meh, they're all round, black and somewhat sticky.

What you didn't state was what you are looking for. Cheap? Long lasting? Great handling?

Value based on all those factors.

they are all about the same price +/- $25 of the average
I don't ride much (I'm working on fixing that) so long lasting probably applies to safety after date of manufacture
I'm not a racer but would like to have confidence in turns

the price thing I can decide, the other two factors I need you guys' experience

This just in....Bridgestone has a $50 rebate and the BT-45 are eligible. that would be $141 for my set. that may be the winner

I can also submit on line which is nice - here is the pdf form - https://itagroup.hs.llnwd.net/o40/B4...ONLINE_ENG.pdf
