Tire pricing - FYI my experience today.

Needed a new tire for my seldom used 1978 GS750E.

Decided on a Shinko 712 tire in the 110/90-18 size.

Went on the following websites for pricing including shipping:

    JP Cycle - $ 66.76
    Bike Bandit - $ 61.18
    Revzilla - $ 50.55

All show the tire in stock!

Attempted to get pricing from Dennis Kirk but their website would not accept my address so I quit after 3 tries.

Might not be like this on all tires but I'm happy!

Any reason you went with the 110?

Yeah, I know it's the closest to stock and is probably the best choice, it's just that everyone else asks "what's the biggest tire I can stuff in there"?

Why did you not also order a front tire? Unless you KNOW when it was changed, check the date code on the sidewall, you might be surprised how old it is.

Went with the 110 because it is closest to stock. Personally, I think anything wider looks kind of "squeezed on" the rim, just my opinion. Changed the front about 2 months ago! It was made earlier this year.

I don't know how Dennis Kirk is still in business -- their website has been a complete dumpster fire since a redesign a few years back and their prices are terrible.

I go through a LOT of tires, and my go-to suppliers are American Moto Tire and Rocky Mountain ATV/MC (Riders Domain, which used to be called Jake Wilson is the same company). I also used to order a lot from Motorcycle Superstore, but they merged into Rocky Mountain/Jake Wilson/Riders Domain a while back.

(Does it drive anyone else batty that they use "Riders Domain" and not "Rider's Domain"?)

America's trusted online source to shop the best discounted Motorcycle, UTV, ATV, Side by Side, and 4 Wheeler aftermarket tires, gear, parts and accessories.

AMT has a lot of oddball tires and tubes and fantastic prices, plus you can search by size -- most websites can't do that. RM also has fantastic prices plus a 5% rewards program, so I almost always order from RM nowadays; their prices are always within a buck or two, plus the 5% reward makes it a no-brainer. And one of the RM warehouses is in Kentucky, so with standard shipping I almost always get my goodies in Indy the next day.

And as you note, Revzilla is always worth checking as well, and they also have a nice 5% reward program to keep you coming back. They just don't have all the KLR/dual-sport goodies found at RM, and overall I've found that their parts/tools inventory isn't nearly as deep.
