    1980/81 GS850/GS1000G forks on 1982 GS1100G

My brother is having a problem with the forks on hit '82 1100G. I have a spare set of good forks for an 1979 to 1981 GS850/GS1000G forks that are not being used now. I bought a good used set and had Racetech rebuild them and install gold valves and springs because I didn't want to have the bike unusable.

I would like to put my good standard forks on to my brother's bike, if its possible. His is not a GK.

They should be fine as long as they're not GK or GL forks.

You hereby have my blessing to go forth and fork thy brother's bike.

Can't improve on that reply, so I'll just say "I, too, believe that will work."

Thanks. I thought so too, but there be experts here in these parts!

There probably are, but we just beat them to the punch with our guesses.

Yep. Just look at the location, make sure the person asking the question is far enough away, and take a swing with your best guesswork...
