A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Nice pics of your 81 GS750, I noticed that you changed to lower handlebars, yet your cables look like the perfect size. I've been meaning to change mine out for about 30 years now, LOL. Can you advise what you did/used? Obviously, there's no hurry. :)
You have found some new lowers that will allow you to install a fender? I'm not aware of anyone installing emulators but I personally don't think they would be worth the investment. I'm running the origninal springs in my forks with 15 weight fork oil. I'm running Hagon shocks right now and I'm satisfied with them. I ran Progressive brand for a while before swapping them over to my E model. They're good too but slightly more expensive. The only four into two exhaust replacements I'm aware of are the Macs but I have no first hand experience with them. Search the forums for information.

Just purchased a pretty ratty one (see pics) and am trying to bring her back...any suggestion are welcome...need shocks (any econo suggestions)? Am putting emulators in forks and new lowers as PO ground off fender tabs...just bought used 78 750E front fender to replace. Old Vance & Hines is loud...where do I source exhaust?? Whatever info you have is appreciated.

Good pics of the two bikes. I have always preferred the design (looks) of the GS750T over the 750E. I didn't like the position of the handle bars on the 750T that I test rode. I ended up buying a 1982 750E. One thing I was interested in when I was searching for a bike but could not find much info on was the difference in the performance of the two bikes. The only article I could find said there was no difference, but I noticed on some spec sheets that they do have different carbs. I would love to hear, from your experience with these two bikes, is there a difference in performance (i.e. mid-range torque or top-end speed)? Thanks.
