A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Post a picture of your custom GS

Hey D, yeh I had build thread, but it's next to useless now as all my picture links died somehow (host: post image), and there is too many to go back and fix in brief, started out as 1980 gsx 1100e roller, had to swap motor to the 1150 as the 1100 motor had a spun cam bearing on the head. All...

Just noticed all my postimage.org picture links have died... not sure what's happened, postimage tell me no changes at their end, but the links are broken nonetheless. too many pics to go back through and repost them, so I'll let this thread die finally (wiping away a tear), with before and...

    Faulty SH775?

Pulled the stator cover today to check magnets on the rotor vs stator poles. 4 magnet rotor and my new 18 pole stator. so I guess that was the issue. Should have 12 pole stator. but my understanding is there should be no AC out of the stator with current setup. Yet I'm still getting AC out.

    Faulty SH775?

Yeh, new electrex 18 pole stator. The measurements match the one that came out of it: It's a G02: Outer Diameter: 102mm Inner diameter: 38mm Thickness through hole: 18mm I might put the 1150 stator side cover back on to try, I'm currently using an 1100 one as I prefer the look of them...

    Faulty SH775?

1150 with 2mm over bore, some mild head work and RS36s :) i hope 115-120hp at the wheel, but will still have to wait for 600kms or so to see what it can do. thanks for the suggestions, ive pretty much tried all of those things, i thought id found an issue with the main battery earth to the case...

still havent worked out the charging issues, been riding around using the battery only. got the seat re-done... in leather now instead of vinyl, with some better padding. Also brought it up to cover the tank seam. 400kms so far on the new motor... 600 to go. way too loud with just the...

    Faulty SH775?

Thanks Chuck, you know i havent counted the magnets on the rotor, mainly because i thought the only rotors that could fit the 1150 were the larger crank end ones, 83 up 1100 and 1150 only i think? So i assumed there would be no way to fit a 12 pole rotor.. i will check it though. On the basis...

    Faulty SH775?

well, the charging issues have defeated my best efforts to resolve them. I'm going to start another thread to more accurately detail my setup and what ive done to date to resolve it, in the hope i might get some other suggestions from more experienced heads.

    Faulty SH775?

Yes, I suspect you are correct, despite my insistence at infallible wiring skills. i borrowed a rectifier off a mates bike that was definitely working and still nothing...well, almost nothing, almost 1vdc according to my fluke. i did this before reading your post. then I sat and pondered. i...

    Faulty SH775?

Thanks Chuck, good advice mate, I will set up and test the way you suggest with the sh775 isolated from any of the bikes wiring. I'm sure I can get a shunt r/r to try as well. In the grand scheme of things 130 for a new one isn't the end of the world considering what I've spent on the project...
