    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Anyone have a 1994 GSX 1100G?

I forget what year it was - it was my brother's bike that he sold last year. But he has some spares. If you want some spares to go with the bike, send me a PM with your address.

    2025 New England Rally - Sep 4-8

It's that time of year again to make plans for the 21st consecutive New England - VT Rally (formerly Moosehead). Every year, the rally is the weekend after Labor Day and this year it is Sep 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 so mark your calendars. The camping fee hasn't changed since it began 20 years ago -...

What is the value of a mostly stock running 15,000 mile 79 GS1000E ?

Wow! Your bike is beautiful. I don't know enough about these models, but it sure looks 99% stock, and in great shape. And it has pretty low mileage. I agree with Ed, $3,500 (assuming you correct the T leak - more desirable if it's 100% turn-key). It's very nice.

Hi and Welcome!!! You have found a great starting point to help you with your GS 550. I would suggest going back to the site homepage and clicking on Links (under the Features drop down), and then go to BassCliff's site for a host of helpful guides for various maintenance tasks. There's also...

    Road trip with a trailer

Congratulations - that's quite a nice find. That model came stock with Mikuni BS34 CV carbs (1150's had BS36 CVs). With the pipe and pods, whoever set up those smoothbores just may have had them dialed in (which is a bit of an art). I'd ride it first for a while and then decide on the...

15 years of owning my GS

Glen, Thank you for an enjoyable read. You've certainly been through a lot with your beloved ES. I bought my 82 Kat in 1984 (from the original owner with 2k miles) and I still have her. For a few years it was my only mode of transportation, and for roughly 26 years it was my only bike...
