All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    im torn between 2 motorcycles

I've owned neither a CL 350 nor a CB550. But as mentioned up thread, the CL pipes have a cool component to them and the CB will be a smoother and stronger highway speed runner. Only one thing to do .......... get both. Problem of decision making solved.

    Pitted Forks

I have had very good success using the method you described sprot850g. You can go with a even finer grit sand paper. I have used a combination of different grit paper including 2000 for the final finish. A tip that has worked very well for me is to cut a 1 or 2 inch strip the length of the...

    BC/WA/OR Hwy 97 ride

I bet you saw that snow up on the Coquihalla highway somewhere.....?!? It has been a rather cool spring and cool early summer (can I call early June summer?) thus far in this area. I am just outside of Kelowna. Seems much of the west coast and interior of BC have experienced similar weather...

    83 suzuki gs750es

Your friendly Suzuki dealer should be able to order you one fairly easily. You can also try here at Bike Bandit: http://www.bikebandit.com/1983-suzuki-gs750ed/o/m6103#sch233140 The gasket comes complete with half moons attached. They aren't exactly inexpensive but they are reusable.

Yes Ranger - that's what I'm talking about. Wasn't sure if the US models came with the adjustment option due to EPA regulations of the time.

83 Suzuki GS750ES won't start after carb cleaning! Please help.

Just out of curiosity .........when you cleaned the carbs out did you by chance open up the diaphram/needle portion of the carburators? You would access the diaphram of each carb by removing 4 screws found at the top of each carburator. Rubber diaphram and needle come out as a unit. If you...

    Fork dampener bolt really stuck

Sorry to hear of your issue with those stubborn bolts holding the forks together...........and you're probably very right in saying that some super gorilla snot glue stuff must have been used. Do you have access to an impact air gun? I get the feeling that an air impact in combination with...

    Tell me what you think........

You're right, one would think that with the number of Katanas out there one could quite easily find a used motor or at least a gently worn top end. I'm beginning to wonder if there are any out there at all!!! I've searched and have had a couple of close calls but thus far nothing.......they...

    Tell me what you think........

This question is not pertinent to the GS series motorcycles covered on this forum but it does relate to a slightly younger GS bike. Hope it's ok to post this question here. Picked up a 1993 Suzuki Katana GSXF 750 project some time ago and have just recently started digging into it to find the...
