A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

  • i checked for ohms across the 3 wires with engine off. I'm following what basscliff has on his website for testing the stator. It didn't look good. there was supposed to be no resistance/connection 0-150ohms. I had readings of .7, .8, and 1.2 when my voltmeter was on ohms. I do remember the settings you had shown me on my voltmeter so i know i have it setup correctly for resistance.

Basscliff also advises to check AC with the bike running which i will do tomorrow morning. As you said it should be around 60v on the same three wires. My wires are: 1 yellow, 1 white/blue, and 1 white/green.

    I'll give you an update.

Thanks so much for the help!

Yea Sunday is Easter, I forgot. After you replace your connectors, unplug the stator and check for AC voltage across the 3 wires like we talked about. If that is good check for the 12 volts at the red wire from the RR. I'm here for questions. I know you can figure it out.

Hi Todd, Did you want to come over tommorow ? The weather is supposed to be good if you wanted to ride the bike over. You can show me how the colortune plug works and we could tune both bikes.
I got the carbs back on it and went up the rode and back a few times. Checked the plugs and they seem to look pretty good - grayish to a little white. I readjusted the fuel screws on carb 1 & 4 some and it helped it out.

I did order the Morgan carb tune and tuner. Says it will be here in 8-10 days. If i'm luck by the end of next week.

Think i'll zip around on the bike a bit today and check plug colors to see if i need to do any more adjusting.

    Hey Todd,
No I havent been out yet. Thats to bad about about the carbs. The bike needs to be running good before you can sync the carbs. We should get together when its warmer and see whats up with your bike. I think mine is all set to go I have to renew the reg. i didnt see the craigslist ad something about it being a hot bike.

It will be in the mail no later than tomorrow. I don't know Dale "Rustybronco's" full real name but include his name please.

    Thanks,

    Todd
