All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Hi Trevor,
I finally found an 80 GS750E on Craig's in Seattle. Blue in colour, in the process of restoration now. Should have it finished in another month or so.

Hi Trevor, just wanted to let you know that I've had lots of tire kickers but no offers yet. Let me know if your buddy is interested in the bike. I'll give him a good deal, maybe around $1200 or so to the right person. If I let her go for much less, I may as well part it out, which I think would be a shame for such a nice complete bike . I tightened up the valves and it sounds much better, hope you're having a good day , cheers Dave

Hey Trev, you ever get that fork brace you inquired about a while ago? Did it make a difference?? I'm thinking about making one out of aluminum for mine, not a lot of talk about here on the forum, I know some other classic bike forums talk about it like life or death without it, but maybe different bikes different needs.

So, whats the new bike? PICS!!!! Just about have one of my "L's" running, just scored a brand new petcock for .99cents, unbelievable, snow melted, was 58deg yesterday, will be mild for next couple days so I should get some work done, unfortunately, the one I'm fixing now is one I'll be selling, the full dresser, the one for me needs more work, and comes after the other two bikes are done. Not sure if I want to get mine in running condition to enjoy some this year or just do a frame off like I was planning or save that for next winter.

Nice bike Trevor, thats a clean engine, I imagine you have plenty of time to clean it with all the down time you must have being so far north...hell, damn near Alaska...lol

That is a fine looking GS750E. I have the 1982 variety. Does yours have a foam or paper air filter?
