All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Project GS1000 with GS1100G D-Port Head, 1100G Cylinder & Mikuni RS34

How has this 1100CC build held up since you did it and what do you ultimately think of it vs. the 1085 kit that you had previously? Did the swap achieve your goal of more low end torque?

1980 Wes Cooley in the garage....finally!

Congrats on your Cooley! This is a great thread. So I am always interested in learning about the differences between the SN & ST since I have an original SN and have never seen an original ST in person except in pics. Maybe you can answer some of my questions. I notice the slotted rotors, higher...

    83 1100E in a time capsule

Showing my 1100E at Kokomoto yesterday! 25 of my boys from Fort Wayne Vintage Cycle rode to the show on various vintage bikes. A couple of my Suzuki riding buddies did the trip as well. Joe (Suzukidog) rode his 1000ST with his lovely wife Lori and our buddy Keith who is 72 years young rode his...

    83 1100E in a time capsule

Trevor, truly sorry for your loss. I know these bikes are like old friends. On the positive side you will get to experience a Cooley when ever you decide to twist the grip. I enjoy riding and comparing my 1000SN to my 78 1000E vs. my Katana, ELR and now this 1100E. They all have different...

    83 1100E in a time capsule

Griffin, I was at the very first Bedford Rally ever thrown on my Viper 1100G. I attend numerous Rallies and VJMC events all season long. I also organize the Fort Wayne Vintage Cycle Group so I keep very busy with my GS's and bikes in general. This weekend I have organized and am leading a...

Yes, I agree about the red wires. I have a set of light blue Taylor wires that I may put on, but I am thinking of staying with black.

    83 1100E in a time capsule

This past weekend I travelled 600 miles round trip to buy a bike I have been searching for, for a long time. There are many fine examples on GSR of the 1100E. My personal favorite is the blue 83. After passing on dozens of bikes for the last 10 years I came across the right one. It had been...
