A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

83 1100E in a time capsule

Long story...looks like the thread on it here has been deleted....Reader's Digest version...I let a friend ride it on a ride we did together...he crashed and totalled it.:( Silver lining, I have a Cooley coming to me....:D

Trevor, truly sorry for your loss. I know these bikes are like old friends.

On the positive side you will get to experience a Cooley when ever you decide to twist the grip. I enjoy riding and comparing my 1000SN to my 78 1000E vs. my Katana, ELR and now this 1100E. They all have different personalities for sure. I was fortunate enough to meet Cooley this past July and have him sign my S. He is an awesome person. Have fun!

Just like the BOTM. A couple beauties ! After I got my 82 my friend bought a blue 83. We were a couple road warriors on those bikes.

I've just scored an '81 in blue. The bike needs a general tidy up but the paint job looks pretty good under the dust.I pick it up next weekend and will post some pics then.
That bike of yours is gorgeous.Ride and enjoy!

Just amazing condition, what a find!! congratulations and what a grin that thing must have put on you.

Too bad Indiana is like across the world from me. I'd like to ride up there and meet you and the bikes!

Showing my 1100E at Kokomoto yesterday! 25 of my boys from Fort Wayne Vintage Cycle rode to the show on various vintage bikes. A couple of my Suzuki riding buddies did the trip as well. Joe (Suzukidog) rode his 1000ST with his lovely wife Lori and our buddy Keith who is 72 years young rode his original Katana 1000SZ on the 200 mile day trip. The 3 of us Suzuki guys have uncannily similar tastes in vintage bikes.

It was a good ride and good time, as usual. Keith is my hero for putting 200 miles on his Katana!
