I saw your post on the R/R issues. On my 1982 GS650G I found I was running at over 16V but I didn't want to go down the path of the SH775 mod. I figured that these bikes have run for forty plus years on their original electrical system without me bodging something. I thus bought a replacement R/R from Ricks https://ricksmotorsportelectrics.com...gulator-10_212 that plugs directly into the original wiring, no mods needed, and my bike now runs reliably at 13.7V, all while charging my GoPro and cell phone. That was two years and about 10,000 miles ago, and it still runs great. I didn't want to post this on the group chat as the fans of the SH775 mod are nearly religious in their convictions. Anyway, I wanted to share one GS650G owner's experience. Cheers.​
