A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

  • Hi Nick, I'm in the market for a clutch basket and an ignition (preferrably with key) for a '83 1100E, any chance you have either of these to sell?

I have both. Keyed ignition and clutch baskets from 83 1100e. For the basket are you looking for stock or welded backing plate?
    HI Nic,

I have just sent the US $278 via Paypal, ref # 9EA63992JH398094M for GS1135 parts.

Thank you for your help with the EF parts and arranging the postage, looking forward to seeing them. Will let you know when they arrive.

    Cheers,
    Glen.
Hi Nic, I am very interested in some of your 1150 EF parts if there are still available. Would you be open to posting small parts to Australia using USPS? The 1150 EF parts I am keen on are :

    igniter box

    electronic timing unit

    stator and stator wiring

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

    Glen.

    Hi glen,

I'd be happy to send to Austraila. I'm heading out of town tonight (track days over the weekend) but will be back Monday and get you some pics and more info then if that works.
Hey Nick I just saw your post that you are clearing stuff out.

This is Greg Billingsly. I am still running that 1150 engine I bought from you.. Other than the common Suzuki "hop out of 2nd when hot rodding", it is a great engine. I just got some bandit1200 carbs to put on it.

I never heard back from you about the 1150 engine mounts with the rubber inside of them. I can live without them but wanted to double check.

It's a shot in the dark, but if you have any 1150 Tachometer I may be interested. My goal would be to use the guts with the 1100e faceplate so I can keep using the 1100e gauges.

Hope your doing great. My number is still 817 808-8970

    Hi Greg,

Good to hear from you. I’m glad the engine is doing well. I hear you on the trans. Back/undercutting the gearing on the trans teeth helps. I’m sure I have the motor mounts somewhere, just have to locate them. Life has been getting in the way.

I got another 1150 project. Has some engine mods, top end oiler, came with mikuni flat slide carbs etc. so I have more stuff but time snd other commitments are forcing me in another direction. I have a really nice 1150 cluster but don’t want to break it just for the tach.

I’ve got an 82 1100e cluster and an 83 1100e as well. Let me double check, but I might have a second 1150 cluster. Depending on condition I might be able to open that one up.

Don't bother taking apart even a halfway decent cluster. It would only make sense if you just had a tach by itself laying around already. I will probably just go with some china gauges. I never have liked the looks of the 1150 gauges, and I am not positive it would work correctly with the different 1100e 140mph faceplate.
Hi, Do you have a nice set of dash gauges for a decent price?

    thanks, Lee
