A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    New GS550 Owner

Have a .pdf of the factory and a hard-copy Clymer for the bench, quick refference and to take notes in. I've grown really fond of the now tattered Clymer and it's oily smell but, when things get serrious it's the factory copy I turn to. That said, there is possible excuse, no fathonable reason...

First 1000 miles on the Sportster

Had a low '08... The suspension travel left a lot to be desired. One day did over 650 miles on it, didn't walk the next day. Round town and trips under 50 miles I loved the snot out of it, it was actually an excelent motorcycle for that kind of thing. It was dependable, visceral, economical &...

old oil - low miles, but sat in the bike for 18mo. HELP OMG WHATDOIDO

If it was your first date in 18 months would you change into clean boxers? My only trepedation about not just running with it is: that there is still moisture in there, filthy relentles moisture creeping and doing all it's evil, eating away at everything it can... nasty nasty moisture...

    1982 GS1100 seat question.

1100G seats fit, comfy as hell too. Took me a year to find a nice one. '82 and up 850G seats fit as well. In both cases, these are the "G" models not the GL Happy hunting.

Time to do my first oil change- recommendations?

Hi-Flo filters & Delo 15-40 diesel oil. But oil and filter prefferences aside: Use some grease to hold your o-ring in the groove when replacing your filter cover & be careful not to over-tighten the acorn nuts!

GS450 Airbox install... what is the secret?

Sorry, my version of a "breeze" just means there is a known answer to a puzzle... sure there are a few steps but, doing it wasn't difficult, figuring out "how" to do it had me stumped for a bit. But with those steps it went right in... and I just tried to record them for anyone else in the...

Place to get my gs650e restored?

Wise words... the last part is customizing. You must admit, it's rediculous to consider new bars when the bike is smoking. Like any large project, the way to get it done is to devide it into smaller groups. Electrics, fuel, brakes, etc.. When I look at a new bike project, I do electrical...
