A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Summary - Carburetor Tuning

lurch12_2000...............what you want to do for your "fuel air mixture" (this screw is found on the front and top portion of each CV carb) is screw it in gently until it seats. Then you back it out however many turns you need to, so your bike idles. Some people back it out as much as 3...

    Summary - Carburetor Tuning

I just reread all of the above comments and I just wanted to add some claryfication to "hand tight"................... when folks are referring to hand tight they mean snugged well down with a flat screw driver................."hand tight" does not mean "finger tight". There needs to be a flat...

WTF? I'm so tired of this game....

Smokinapankake - Ive been doing some carb work on my 1984 GS 750E lately myself. Privious owners had a 4 into 1 and pods. When i bought it came with original exhaust and foam filter in stock air box. Someone else metioned this before - the CV Mikuni carbs are EXTREMELY sensitive. If your...

    Summary - Carburetor Tuning

Tino - if you have CV carbs, which by the pictures you appear to have, then what you are referring to as the " air screw " is really your mixture screw. It controls your fuel and air mixture at idle. I've been piddling around with mine for quite some time trying to get them set as well. I am...

    rs34 mikuni

Great discussion here guys. Doing some carb head scratching myself on my 1984 GS750E lately. Running stock carbs BS32SS in this case where in a previous life the bike had a header and pods I think. Carb jets were changed then, but now back to original exhaust and filter and running rich. I...

    Tool spec

Like tkent02 said........................robertson head wood screw, screwed into a wood dowel. The you just use the square in the robertson head to adjust. Can't get much simpler and cheaper than that. 1984 Suzuki GS 750E 1981 Ducati Pantah 500

    Stator ? Why?

I recently purchased a stator and recitifier/regulator from RM Stators for my 1984 GS 750E. They had a bit of a stato/regulator combo sale so I just bought both. Unfortunately I didn't keep any paper work for part numbers and I threw out the old stator a week ago or so. Sorry I can't help...

    '84 GS750EF - Need Center Stand Pictures

let me know if you don't get the pics form Silverhorse47. I have an 84 GS 750 with the centerstand mounted on the bike that I can take some pics of. Keep in mind that most stands have only a single return spring BUT not on these models. They have 2 return springs, one hooks up to each side...

    RMStator vs Electrosport Stator?

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,the stator gods are smiling down on the stator suppliers like RMStator and Electrosport..................they're selling a few for sure............. I just ordered a stator and rectifier from RMStator for my 1984 GS750E myself. Had several conversations to ensure they were...

    84 gs 750 exhaust

rotty, keep in mind that there was no 1984 GS 750 imported to the US. Even though you are in BC like me, you may find that there are fewer bits available even in Cda because of that. 1983 GS 750's should pretty much be identical to the 84's except for color. There were some engine component...

What specific connectors should I change to Spades?

I need to quickly chime in and ask to clarify with Redman...................... I have an 84 GS 750 with the block type connections between the stator and R/R. Your comment about gorunding the R/R, you stated ............................... " So way to minimize this is to add an other...

    bouncy rear end

If the rear shocks are original I would say its time to replace. The suspensions of that era that came from the factory were not the best. However, it all depends what kind of mileage are on the shocks - they may still be workable. Before you look at the shocks make sure the other chasis...

    You want pics ?

This isn't a thread about me or my almost on the road GS but it should prove interesting for most of you, if not everyone. If you're like me, you really enjoy looking at motorcycle pictures. I stumbled onto this European site with just a ton of classic motorcycle pics. There is something for...

    alternate bearings

Be patient it'll come out, keep at it. Hard to tell from your pic. When you say you tore it up pretty good with a punch.......................are you coming in to the bearing from the opposite side of the swing arm? In other words, long puch or other item, punching from the rear of the bearing...

    Repaint Tips?

Good coincidence. I had a post not too long ago looking for the paint code for a Canadian 1984 GS 750E, in red. Due to the 750 not being imported in the US in 1984 there was no info anywhere on paint codes for the model...................at least, not that I could find. After some back and...
